Trainer

Rob started training me in early 2017, that year we went onto win the Gold National Grade 1 Championships for the first time and since then he has continued to help my riding career to continually improve. Rob is not just my trainer but also a friend and knows exactly how to get me to perform to my best and is able to make me laugh/smile when the need arises. We make a great team.

Rob is an able-bodied dressage rider and has represented GB at small tour level.

Parents & Family

Mum and Dad; my dedicated parents, have gone out of their way to support me and to enable my riding carer to blossom and helped me to get onto the podium for the first time. Mum and Dad both continue to work to help me to pursue my dream of winning a gold medal.

My sister Sian and niece Lily although living in America are very supportive and were both present when I won my first medal; which was very special. My wider family including my grandparents have been a huge support.

Lee started treating my horses and I couldn’t be happier.

He comes out monthly to treat Bear and we have seen so many benefits; everyone comments on how good he looks and he feels super as well.

Jeremy Rudge

Saddler

I am so proud to be supported by Jeremy Rudge. Amy and Jeremy are so helpful and supportive.

The horses all love their Advantage girths; the benefits are amazing. The girth has an innovative 8 way flexion; which increases my horses comfort and way of going as well as improving their cadence and provides even weight distribution. The girth allows them to show off their suppleness more and really helps on 8m circles especially with Bear as he is 18.2.

I have been lucky enough to try out the free Motion Panel saddle and all I can say is both me and the horses love it. Bear and Damo are much freer in this saddle and have a lot more lift. The saddle puts me into a very good position so that I am effectively able to use the aids I have better and feel really stable.

I am currently working on a very exciting project with Jeremy Rudge; watch this space....

Herts and Body Balance

I train at Performance Hertfordshire every other week, thanks to theDouglas Bader Foundation. I have trained with Fiona my strength and conditioning coach for several years. I really enjoy training and all the benefits that I get. Performance Hertfordshire is a great place to train.

I am supported by Body Balance Physiotherapy and Sports Injury clinic through their sponsored athlete programme. I regularly attend Physiotherapy and Sports Massage sessions and this helps me to maintain my condition and compete at the highest level.

Livery & Training Yard

We moved to Trout Rise Farm in 2018; the horses settled in straight away and the yard were very accommodating of my disability. Katie and her team treat all the horses as if they are their own, and the boys are spoilt rotten. We are very happy and can relax knowing the horses are being looked after so well.

Katie as well as being the yard manager is also a very good friend. She acts as a carer for me as well as a groom and its always great fun when she comes to competitions or squad training with us. I cannot thank Katie and her team enough for all the help and support that they give us.
