December Blog

Had an amazing time at Olympia last night with mum; we had such a fantastic view from the wheelchair platform! I took my Quingo Air with me which was fantastic and did its job. I met my supporters Devoucoux which was great. Shame Pippie and De weren’t there; but was great to see Georgina again. I also enjoyed watching the freestyle the next day from the comfort of my own home on the red button.

I did a pole work clinic on Sky and a short account of the day is below.

Para Riders can do Poles even Grade 1 Para Riders!!

Had a fantastic Pole Work Session with Linsay run by Elaine at Windmill Farm.

Off course we were only doing walk poles as I only walk. But Sky loved it and enjoyed himself and didn’t put a hoof wrong!

To be honest poles are not my favourite but I really enjoyed the session and my confidence built throughout the session. I found it really useful as it showed how wonky we are on straight lines. But by the end of the session the wonkiness was so much better and we walked straight over the poles. Sky really had to work and stretch over the poles.

It was an excellent Christmas theme with a Christmas tree and a star; which had a 20m, 10m and even an 8m circle for me; very good thinking!

Sky loved his gold tinsel and his Santa hat!! He looked so cute and pretty! Sky really showed me why he is a Para pony today and so good at his job. He looked after me every step of the way, so proud of him.

I hope you all had a great Christmas. I had a fantastic time with all my family, but sadly it flew by. Before I knew it New Year’s Eve was here and we are now in 2017!

I would like to wish you all a very happy new year and a prosperous 2017!
